Conor McGregor shares UFC Fight Pass ‘leak’ that suggests he will fight Michael Chandler in 2023

Conor McGregor has once again claimed he’s fighting at UFC 296.

Only this time, ‘Notorious’ has done so with a screenshot allegedly taken from the UFC’s official website that suggests he will headline alongside Michael Chandler on December 16.

McGregor didn’t caption his latest Twitter post

On Sunday, several MMA fans shared an image taken from UFC Fight Pass that seemingly confirmed McGregor and Chandler will headline Dana White’s final pay-per-view show of the year.

The page, which even included a UFC 296 countdown clock, has since been removed from the site, but not before the former dual-weight champion shared it with his 10.1 million Twitter followers.

McGregor, who has incessantly claimed he will fight before the end of 2023, recently claimed his return bout has been delayed until 2024 and vented about being ‘kept from my livelihood.’

As fans began to accept they won’t see MMA’s biggest star compete this year, he returned to Twitter and claimed, ‘December is back on the table!’

Since then, he’s been quiet about his next fight, but Sean O’Malley revealed he had spoken with McGregor and was hoping to co-headline alongside the Irishman before Christmas.

“Conor [McGregor] messaged me on Instagram for the first time yesterday,” O’Malley told Pat McAfee.

“He said, ‘Baby we did it,’ and I said, ‘We sure f****** did!’ I said, ‘You main eventing in December, I’m co-main eventing?’ All he replied was, ‘Shot caller.’

“I don’t know what that means, but I feel like I kinda do so I’m hoping that’s a yes in f****** Irish.”

O’Malley is hoping to rematch Marlon Vera on the card.

‘Chito’ is the only man to beat the recently crowned bantamweight champion who called him out almost immediately after knocking out Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292.

UFC officials are yet to reveal who will compete at the T-Mobile Arena.

The premier MMA promotion is also yet to address the fact an apparent leak suggests it will be Chandler vs McGregor headlining UFC 296.
