Terrifying footage has emerged of the moment the engine on a Jet2 flight carrying Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu ‘exploded with flames and sparks.’
The Love Island star, 29, who was flying back to the UK from her native Turkey with boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, revealed how the plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Antalya shortly after leaving Bodrum airport.
Shocking new footage has now revealed how the plane’s left engine set on fire.
Worried passengers can be heard saying ‘oh my god’ as a puff of fire erupts on the wing of the plane in the pitch black darkness of the night sky.
Anthony Hoyle, whose grandson and granddaughter was on the flight, said they were both ‘frightened to death’.

A spokesperson from Jet2 said: ‘Flight LS984 from Bodrum to Manchester followed standard procedure and diverted safely to Antalya on Thursday 24th August, after the crew reported a technical issue.
‘Due to the late hour, customers were provided with hotel accommodation in Antalya, and were flown home last night.
‘At no point was anybody’s safety compromised, however we would of course like to apologise for the disruption caused.’
Ekin-Su and Davide have been documenting their trip on Instagram as the couple reunited after their split.

Terrifying: The Love Island star, who has been visiting her native home with boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, likened the experience to ‘something from a movie’
The Love Island stars, who found fame by winning the ITV2 dating show together last summer, announced they had split in June following an 11-month relationship.
However, relationship speculation sparked back in July after they were pictured leaving the ITV Summer Party together.
Now, the couple have ‘confirmed’ they are back together by jetting off on a romantic getaway to Ekin-Su’s native Turkey.
Sharing a sweet video to Instagram, Davide wrapped his arm around his girlfriend during a day out at the beach and joked: ‘I found someone I think I know’.
The pair went on to get their own TV show, where they travelled to their hometowns in Italy and Turkey to meet each other’s families, moving in together in August 2022.
