Hollywood megastar Steve Carell has given Formula 1 fans an insight into the Las Vegas Grand Prix that they likely weren’t expecting.
The star ofThe Office was in attendance for the Dutch Grand Prix, and explained that he was on holiday with his family.
A-list celebrities are nothing new on the F1 grid but often they’re in attendance for promotion purposes.
That wasn’t the case for Carell, in fact quite the opposite when he was asked about a new circuit on the F1 calendar.
The sport will be travelling to Vegas in November for the penultimate race of the season, with the track layout to see cars screaming down the world famous Vegas Strip.
And Carell, who described the atmosphere at Zandvoort as ‘electric’ is sure things won’t be the same on the west coast of his home country.
When asked what the Grand Prix will be like by Sky Sports, he said: “In Vegas? Not this.
“It will be a different atmosphere. Everyone will be losing money gambling while the race happens, there will be slot machines in every seat, it’s going to be a very different vibe.”
He then added: “I’m sure it’s going to be incredible and exciting, I know Las Vegas is excited to have them.”
