Work was still taking place on Luton Town’s Kenilworth Road ahead of the stadium’s first Premier League match.
The Hatters welcome West Ham to their home on Friday night, but in the hours before kick-off, photographers captured building work still ongoing.
Workers in hard hats and reflective jackets were seen putting the finishing touches on Kenilworth Road, which has undergone extensive work to prepare it for the Premier League.
Luton had to postpone an earlier fixture against fellow promoted side Burnley.
But they were able to host League Two’s Gillingham in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, a fixture they won 3-2.
However, the revamped Bobbers Stand was only at 75 per cent capacity for the game, with CEO Gary Sweet asking supporters to ‘please stand with us’.
The stand underwent a £10million revamp after the club secured Premier League football for the first time.
And it will host an atmosphere like no other when kick-off takes place against West Ham – live on talkSPORT.
The match is a sell-out, and one celebrity Hammers fan was able to get a ticket for what is certain to be an unforgettable night for many in attendance.
Gavin and Stacey star James Corden was seen admiring the pitch ahead of the game, which will no doubt be a stark contrast to his side’s 62,500-capacity London Stadium.
