Mark Zuckerberg has posted new footage from his time training with UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski.
On Sunday, the Facebook billionaire shared a mock trailer that showed him wrestling Volkanovski, the pound-for-pound best fighter in MMA, on a massive speedboat.
A voiceover from Mission Impossible played in the background as ‘Stylebender’ prepared for his latest middleweight title defence by sparring with an unknown man who was clearly out of his depth.
Adesanya flips him through the air and kicks him off the boat before using his unheralded wrestling skills to toss his opponent into the water once again.
Zuckerberg simply captioned the video ‘Summer vibes’ and Volkanovski wrote ‘Good times!!’ in the comment section of the clip which quickly racked up more than 157,000 likes.
The 39-year-old was first pictured training with two of the UFC’s biggest stars in July amid talk of a potential fight between him and fellow social media tycoon Elon Musk.
After working out with Adesanya and Volkanovski, Zuckerberg took them to a nearby lake to show off his water-skiing skills before apparently filming a fight sequence with his new pals.
While talk about the Meta CEO putting his newly acquired MMA skills to the test against Musk has died down, Adesanya is just days away from headlining UFC 293.
He’ll square off against Sean Strickland in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday.
The 34-year-old won back his 185lb belt in April when he knocked out Alex Pereira who had previously beaten him twice in kickboxing before transitioning to MMA and repeating the feat last November.
Volkanovski is enjoying some well-earned rest after stopping Yair Rodriguez inside three rounds to unify the featherweight division at UFC 290 in July.
It’s currently unclear who he will face next after former champion Max Holloway – a man he has beaten three times – recently cemented his status as the number one contender by sleeping ‘The Korean Zombie’.
A rematch with lightweight king Islam Makhachev could be on the table after Khabib Nurmagomedov’s protégé defends his title against Charles Oliveira at UFC 294 next month.
Volkanovski insisted he would pursue a second fight with Makhachev after being on the wrong end of a controversial unanimous decision when they fought at UFC 284 in February.
