Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm are set to come head-to-head next week when the prestigious BMW PGA Championship takes centre-stage at Wentworth.
The European rivals are the two clear favourites to be battling at the top of the leaderboard in the DP World Tour’s showpiece event.
Rahm is the current Masters champion and won the US Open in 2021, so is always one of the main contenders when he enters into a tournament.
Meanwhile, McIlroy is the world number two and will hope to get one final win under his belt before the Ryder Cup later this month.
However, there are plenty of other star names, with Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick and Shane Lowry also teeing it up.

BMW PGA Championship: What has been said?
Rose, who made Europe’s 2023 Ryder Cup team recently, is delighted to be playing at Wentworth again.
He said: “There’s something truly special about playing on home soil, and feeling the support of the crowds around the West Course makes this such a great week.
“I’ve come close a couple of times in the past and the BMW PGA Championship is a title that I would love to win.”
And Ryder Cup team-mate Fleetwood can’t wait either.
He said: “I always enjoy playing the BMW PGA Championship, and it’s an event I would love to win.
“Being an Englishman, to have your family and friends with you all week is a real treat for us, but on top of that, we have the biggest crowds who are just so unbelievably loud and supportive for all of us, it makes it a unique week that is for sure.”
