Jake Paul hails Amanda Serrano for ‘creating history’ in first women’s fight with 12 three-minute rounds

Jake Paul has shown his support for Amanda Serrano as she gears up for a historical fight later this year.

‘The Real Deal’ is set to face Danila Ramos at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, on October 27.

Her WBA, IBF and WBO title defence will not be contested over ten two-minute rounds, but instead 12 three-minute rounds.

Such a format makes it the first unified women’s title fight to be fought over the same duration as male fighters.

Serrano, the undisputed featherweight champion, has long fought for longer rounds in women’s boxing and she will therefore make history next month.

Taking to social media, YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul championed the Puerto Rican as she prepares for her 49th professional career fight.

In a video alongside her on X, he said: “It’s official, October 27, the Queen is back! Most Valuable Prospects card and you’re making history.

“The first ever women’s unified boxing Jake Paul hails Amanda Serrano for ‘creating history’ in first women’s fight with 12 three-minute rounds match that will be 12 three-minute rounds. All of women’s boxing matches are ten two-minute rounds, Amanda is doing 12 three-minute rounds.”

“Can you imagine what I can do with an extra minute?” Serrano added before Paul also said: “Let’s go! Creating history, be there, October 27.”

Paul is no stranger to the power that Serrano possesses after she repeatedly punched his stomach ahead of his win over Nate Diaz.

‘The Real Deal’ currently has 45 professional career wins to her name, with 30 of those coming as KO’s.

Serrano was last in the ring in August when she beat Heather Hardy by unanimous decision in the co-main event of the Paul vs Diaz card.

It saw her retain her WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring titles in the featherweight division.
