While it halted the Three Lions’ winning streak in their qualifying campaign, all eyes were on the various players in the Premier League.

That included Rice and Mudryk, who are at Arsenal and Chelsea respectively, and once again found themselves on opposing sides.

At one point in the second half, Mudryk darted toward goal having skipped past Jordan Henderson and trying to cut in on Kyle Walker.

But almost out of nowhere, Rice swooped in and nicked the ball with pure grace – using his right foot to rob possession and set himself up for a pass with one smooth motion.

And it is safe to say that Arsenal fans absolutely loved the moment, with one saying: “Declan Rice making Mudryk look like a child.”

Another wrote with laughing face emojis: “What does that Mudryk guy even do?”

A third said: “Literally stole his lunch money.”

This fan put: “This is similar to the Odegaard backheel slide tackle. Arsenal Football Club is home to the sauciest players on planet earth and it is not close.”

While this supporter said: “This Mudryk guy can’t catch a break. Deccers schooling him.”

Arsenal were close to signing Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in January having had multiple bids rejected.

Mikel Arteta was desperate to sign the winger only for Chelsea to arrive out of the blue and snap him up.

But it has not quite worked out for the 22-year-old, who has yet to score a goal for the west London outfit despite signing for a fee of up to £88million.

Meanwhile, it was another Arsenal star who was in the headlines after Oleksandr Zinchenko scored for Ukraine in the 1-1 draw.

Kyle Walker equalised soon after to net his first Three Lions goal on his 77th cap.

But that was all Gareth Southgate’s side could muster as Ukraine clung on for a pivotal draw with just one shot on target.
