Jadon Sancho is reportedly set for crunch talks with Erik ten Hag over his Manchester United future.
The winger left the United coach furious after claiming that he was lying over claims of below par training performances.
Ten Hag insisted that Sancho had not performed well enough in training to warrant a space in the squad for their defeat to Arsenal.
But the 23-year-old took to social media and claimed that Ten Hag’s comments are ‘completely untrue’ and that he was being made a ‘scapegoat’.
Sancho wrote: “Please don’t believe everything you read!
“I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!”
According to the Daily Telegraph, Ten Hag has been left deeply unimpressed by Sancho’s remarks and talks are planned over his career on Monday.
However, it is further stated that even if the player apologises, his United career might be over.
The England international has pinned his complaints post to his Twitter profile.
What it means for the forward remains to be seen but considering Antony has been allowed extended leave amid abuse allegations, it will be intriguing to see whether Sancho is involved against Brighton next week.
If there is no way back for the former Borussia Dortmund star, where he could end up is unknown.
Sancho was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia last week, but talkSPORT understands the player isn’t interested in a move to the Middle East.
Even a return to Dortmund is not entirely out of the question, though it will largely depend on finances.
United signed Sancho for £73million only in 2021 after long-term interest that included over a year’s worth of groundwork laid down.
However, it is further reported that the Red Devils were open to offers for the forward over the summer but no serious bids arrived.
This is not Sancho’s first time in the midst of a storm under Ten Hag when last December the Dutch coach suggested he wasn’t fit enough.
